Chef and restaurateur Scott Hallsworth has opened a new club and members’ restaurant in South Kensington called Ramusake.

The late-night venue, which opens today at 92B Old Brompton Road, sees the former head chef of Nobu and chef-owner of two Kurobuta sites partner nightclub owners Piers Adam and David Phelps of Mahiki Mayfair and Bodo’s Schloss. 

The club and restaurant will serve Hallsworth’s Japanese food as well as cocktails using sake and premium rum.

Ramusake will offer a Kurobuta menu plus a few brand new dishes created especially for the new venue such as beef fillet tataki with onion ponzu, garlic crisps and kombu roasted Chilean seabass with spicy shiso ponzu, served tapas-style .

Designed by Louise White of W Design Studio London, features dark wooden tables and low-hanging lamps.

“It’s wonderful working with Scott, I have been rather fortunate in my time to work with some talented people such as Marco Pierre White and Giorgio Locatelli but Scott to me is quite special. He is of the moment,” said Piers Adam.

Membership will cost £250 a year, and the venue will be open from Wednesdays to Saturday from 6pm until late.
