‘Gourmet' sandwich shop Cafe Mish opens in Mayfair
A new sandwich shop billing itself as "gourmet", Café Mish, has opened in London's Mayfair today.
The six-seat venue on Shepherd Street will offer sandwiches to eat in or take away, in small, medium or large, with classic options alongside more unusual, monthly specials.
Operations manager is Gush Jutley, of design consultancy Sectorsixteen, whose previous London projects have included the Hoxton hotel, restaurant Camino, and Middle Eastern restaurant Le Menar.
The café's signature option is the salt beef, which includes slow braised salted beef, sweet pickle gherkins, and Dijon mustard on caraway seed bread.
Other options include slow roast lamb saddle with red onion confit, mint and wild rocket, and other fillings such as pastrami, roast rib of beef, burrata cheese; chicken with avocado and tarragon mayonnaise; smoked salmon with horseradish and watercress.
The site also serves a soup of the day, sweet potato chips, and an array of freshly-made cakes, and coffee.
