Who would you invite to your dream dinner party? Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Alex Ferguson, the Queen, Miranda Hart, Jennifer Aniston, my wife Linda and David Attenborough

What flavour combinations do you detest? Sweet products on pizza

Which ingredient do you hate the most? Baby sweetcorn

Which people in catering have you most admired? The Roux brothers

Which person gave you the greatest inspiration? Brian Jones, who was head of the Royal Naval Cookery School

What irritates you most about the industry? That people still look down on it

Describe your ultimate nightmare Trapped in a room full of spiders; I hate them

What would be your last supper? Spanish tapas with a good Rioja

Tell us a secret… I made Cheshire Life magazine, for leading a protest at the local swimming pool after being banned for bombing. I was 14.
