Jumeirah Carlton Tower appoints director of operations

Jumeirah Group, the luxury hotel group and member of Dubai Holding, has appointed Paul Skinner as director of operations at the 216-bedroom Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel.

He will oversee all aspects of front-and back-of-house operations at the five-red-AA-star property in London's Knightsbridge.

Skinner returns to Jumeirah Carlton Tower after a ten year hiatus, having previously been director of food and beverage from 2003 to 2006.

His most recent role was director of rooms at the Langham in London, which he held since May 2014, having joined the hotel as director of food and beverage in November 2009.

His 27-year career in the industry also includes senior food and beverage management roles at properties such as the Balmoral, the Conrad London and the Athenaeum hotel and apartments.

In his new role he will report to the hotel's general manager Katie Benson. She said: "I am delighted to welcome Paul back to the Jumeirah Carlton Tower. His outstanding hospitality experience will be invaluable in helping us to build on our reputation for delivering world-class service and exceptional guest experiences in London's most fashionable neighbourhood."
