Pop-up kitchen for Grassington House
A pop-up kitchen is to operate in the dining room of the nine-bedroom Grassington House hotel in Grassington, North Yorkshire, later this month.
A £100,000 refurbishment of the kitchen will result in chef-proprietor John Rudden moving front-of-house, where he and his brigade will prepare food from a mini-kitchen.
A five-course set menu will be served to 24 guests a night, from 7 to 22 January, while a new eco-friendly kitchen is installed by CHR Equipment.
Rudden said he is very excited about the kitchen transformation. "Induction cooking equipment will make it a much better environment for the staff, dramatically reducing the heat and energy consumption by half, as well as providing us with the facilities to endorse Grassington House as a world-class destination for dining."
Rudden has run Grassington House, which holds two-AA- rosettes with his wife Sue since 2008.
