Vineyard at Stockcross boss joins Thai hotel group
The general manager of the Michelin-starred Vineyard at Stockcross, Nicolas Peth, has quit the role after five years, Caterersearch has learnt.
Peth has left his position at the former Catey winner and two-Michelin starred The Vineyard at Stockcross restaurant with rooms in Newbury, Berkshire, to join the Thailand-based Sixth Senses hotel group.
He will now head up the company's property in the town of Nah Trang, located in the south of Vietnam.
Managing director of The Vineyard, and Caterer's 2008 Hotelier of the Year, Andrew Mckenzie told Caterersearch that Peth had been "looking for a while" to move abroad.
"Nicolas has been here for a while now, he's served his time and been an integral part of our success and he goes with our good grace.
"Although we don't have anyone else in place right now, I'm here so we're in safe hands."
A replacement for Peth has not yet been named.
