Patty & Bun to open fifth London site
Patty & Bun is to open its fifth London restaurant, in Shoreditch later this month.
The burger brand will be opening a new 40-cover restaurant on 28 July on Redchurch Street, joining its sites on James Street and Old Compton Street in central London and Liverpool Street in east London, as well as London Fields in Hackney, and its street food truck.
The restaurant will serve Patty & Bun classics, including the Ari Gold cheeseburger and the Smokey Robinson, a cheeseburger with caramelised onions and bacon inside a brioche bun. It will also serve a new range of sides, including beer nuts and potato chips with shrimp and chilli salt.
The upstairs area will host the restaurant's open kitchen and countertop and bar seating, while downstairs will host a speakeasy-style ‘drinking den' with banquette seating and a DJ set. It will serve typical Patty & Bun cocktails with new additions including the Dr Notley (Fernet Branca, Tequila Reposado, lime and ginger beer) and Patty Like it's 1999 (Vodka, Blue Curacao and cranberry).
Patty & Bun owner Joe Grossmann said: "We're super pumped about opening on the iconic Redchurch Street in Shoreditch. It's going to be a raucous little animal, with a focus on great beers and cracking cocktails alongside some naughty additions to the food menu. Redchurch Street has changed a lot over the years but still very much has that neighbourhood feel to it and that's exactly what we hope to add with the shop."
