Churchill to provide more than 13,000 pieces of tableware for Wivenhoe House
The newly refurbished Wivenhoe House](http://www.wivenhoehouse.co.uk/), home of the Edge Hotel School, has announced its first partnership with the hospitality industry.
Inspired by the ground-breaking nature of the school - the first in the country to provide degree-level studies entirely within a commercial hotel - [Churchill](http://www.churchillchina.com/), one of Britain's leading suppliers of tableware to the hospitality industry, will be supplying the entire range of glassware, china and cutlery.
Wivenhoe House in Colchester, which opens this summer, will offer a fine-dining restaurant and modern brasserie, with more than 2,500 pieces required for the restaurant alone. Churchill, established in the Potteries since 1795, will be supplying a total of 13,050 items, including 5,682 ceramic pieces, 2,388 glasses and 4,404 items of cutlery.
Sharon Heap, marketing director at Churchill, said: "We have a continuous commitment to bringing new products to the market and Wivenhoe House and the Edge Hotel School will be an excellent test-bed for innovation as well as a prestigious accommodation and dining venue."
The Edge Hotel School is working closely with industry experts to develop a programme of learning which will produce graduates with a University of Essex degree, equipped with the skills and experience required to succeed in this sector. The development has been made possible through the support of Edge - the independent education foundation which works towards raising the status of technical, practical and vocational learning - and long-standing University of Essex partner, Kaplan, a leading provider of training and education.
