Huhtamaki has announced today the acquisition of BCP Fluted Packaging Ltd, a corrugated packaging specialist based in Blackburn, Lancashire.
The company employs approximately 120 people and serves the cosmetics, foodservice and confectionery markets. With this acquisition Huhtamaki aims to expand its product offering in Europe.
Brian Jones, chairman of BCP, said of the deal: "I am extremely pleased to have BCP join the Huhtamaki Group.
"BCP has achieved great success and growth in the last 10 years and Huhtamaki has both the desire and the resources to grow the business even further."
The acquired business will be renamed Huhtamaki BCP Ltd. and will become part of Huhtamaki's Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business segment.
