Last chance to enter Restaurant Manager of the Year
Brilliant front of house professionals have just two days to make their application for Restaurant Manager of the Year.
The awards recognise the brightest and best front of house staff from across the industry.
Entry is free and the winner will not just receive industry recognition and invites to top industry events including the Cateys, but they will also benefit from career-advancing training at Lausanne.
Entries close tomorrow (Friday), so potential candidates are invited to submit their entry form before the weekend.
Run by the Academy of Food & Wine Service (AFWS) in partnership with The Caterer, the competition recognises restaurant managers and those who are responsible for business performance, managing people and staff training.
This year, the award, sponsored by Bunzl and Virgin Limited Edition, will include a live element to test the finalists' communication, service skills and ability to deal with a modern hospitality environment.
Last year's winner, the Arts Club brasserie general manager Ian Sturrock, said the competition provided a chance for front of house professionals to challenge themselves against their peers and broaden their horizons from a daily operational perspective.
He added: "Not only did I learn many aspects of this incredible business that previously I had not been exposed to, but most importantly, I met some phenomenal individuals that are equally passionate about our industry. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the competition embraces all areas of our sector - regardless of the particular type of operation that you are involved in. The competition is fully inclusive."
The winner will be decided at a reception on the finals day at the Courthouse hotel, London, on 14 November.
