Chris and Jeff Galvin plan Dubai openings
Michelin-starred chef-restaurateurs Chris and Jeff Galvin will make their first foray overseas with the opening of a branch of Demoiselle next month in Dubai's City Walk 2 development.
The launch will be followed in October by the opening of Galvin Dubai in the same district.
Demoiselle Dubai will be similar to the London operation, offering light meals, afternoon tea, pastries, chocolate and soft drinks.
Galvin Dubai will have echoes of the brothers' London eatery La Chapelle, but with a more Mediterranean feel, a spokeswoman said. She described it as a "new stylish operation that offers the cuisine of the Mediterranean basin with a bar-lounge delivering a Balearic and feel."
The brothers, whose second pub, the Green Man in Chelmsford, will open this summer, this week received the Special Award at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards. The accolade is in recognition of their market-leading restaurants, their significant work in training and education and their broader, contribution to the hospitality industry.
