Five Guys to open Intu Braehead restaurant
Five Guys is set to open a new restaurant in the Intu shopping centre in Braehead in Glasgow, Scotland.
It is the third time that Five Guys will have opened a restaurant in an Intu shopping centre, having opened at Intu Trafford Centre in Manchester, and Intu Lakeside in Essex.
The new site in Intu Braehead will occupy a 3,250 sq ft unit in a new food court on the lower mall, where six kiosks have been converted into three larger restaurants.
It will sit alongside Yo! Sushi, which opened in November 2014, and Pret a Manger.
The new site is the latest in a string of launches for the US-based brand, which was founded in Washington DC in 1986 but only opened its first UK restaurant, in London's Covent Garden, in 2013.
Five Guys already has 20 restaurants in the UK, with another six in the pipeline.
Aside from Intu Braehead, there are also openings scheduled for Ealing, Wimbledon, Nottingham, Cardiff, and Glasgow Silverburn.
