The Caterer unveils new features on www.thecaterer.com

The Caterer has unveiled a series of new features on its new-look, groundbreaking website, thecaterer.com.

Three major features have been introduced to the platform, which was relaunched at the Cateys last year, designed specifically to transform the way the industry communicates.

The first - group functionality - will enable users of the site to kick-start and participate in online forums, allowing them to have meaningful dialogue with colleagues, customers and industry peers. Groups will offer users the opportunity to add their voice to the debates that will help shape hospitality.

Meanwhile, leading-edge community functionality has also been introduced to allow companies, associations, institutes and academies to promote themselves, widen their communities, promote their events, engage with existing members and recruit new ones.

Finally, new messaging functionality presents users with a hospitality-specific platform for peer-to-peer communications.

Revealing the developments at the Catey Awards at London's Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel, last night, The Caterer chairman Clive Jacobs (pictured

"For the first time ever, the sector is now able to communicate one-to-one on a dedicated vertical industry platform - a whole new way of engaging with contacts, clients and customers; a whole new way of expanding your professional network.

"Add to these new features our burgeoning multimedia jobs platform and our unrivalled archive of content, and you have a digital service that's the most comprehensive and groundbreaking in hospitality - and, arguably, in any industry sector."
